Mr. Anthony Munsterman returning to the classroom as Lincoln HI music teacher on Monday, March 18th: On Feb. 27, 2013 a complaint was filed against Mr. Anthony Munsterman, music teacher at Lincoln HI. He was put on administrative leave in order for outside independent investigations to be completed. Besides the school's internal investigation, three other independent agencies investigated the complaint allegations. The result of these three independent investigations indicated that no discipline was warranted in regards to the complaint. The three investigating agencies were the MN Dept. of Education; the Lincoln County Sheriff's Department and a neutral third party legal agency. Mr. Munsterman will be returning to the classroom on Monday, March 18, 2013. Because of the investigation, the high school concert for Thursday, March 14th was cancelled. The High School will still have a pops concert on May 8th at 7:30 p.m. The Elementary Tea concert will be May 10th at 2 p.m. Students will still be participating in solo and ensemble contests on April 4th. The Senior trip to Chanhassen is still taking place this spring. The district always takes the safety of it's students and staff seriously and as a result took all appropriate legal steps in regard to this complaint. Again, Mr. Munsterman will be returning to school to teach music again beginning March 18th. However, on a separate personnel matter, the board did not renew his contract to teach music next year.
